U.S. Department of State

  • Libya Travel Warning. The Department of State warns U.S. citizens against all travel to Libya and recommends that U.S. citizens currently in Libya depart immediately.

  • Yellow Fever Advisory.  The Ministries of Health in Angola, Uganda and the Democratic Republic of the Congo have reported outbreaks of yellow fever in these countries. The CDC recommends that all travelers aged 9 months or older be vaccinated against yellow fever.
  • Measles Advisory. The CDC recommends travelers to Mongolia, Sierra Leone and Nigeria to protect themselves by making sure they are vaccinated against measles.
  • Hajj and Umrah in Saudi Arabia. The annual Hajj pilgrimage to Mecca, Saudi Arabia, is among the largest mass gatherings in the world. If you plan to travel to Saudi Arabia for Hajj or Umrah, follow CDC’s recommendations, such as being up-to-date on your vaccines, to help keep you safe and healthy.

  • Haiti Travel Alert. The State Department has revised the Travel Alert last updated on March 11, 2016 concerning the presidential election period in light of the announcement by Haiti’s Provisional Electoral Council of a new election calendar with a first round of elections on October 9, 2016 and a second round on January 8, 2017.
